Welcome to Guillotine!

The purpose of this site is to inform fellow geeks of what is going on in the world of anime and manga.

I basically realized I was posting these things I found out or heard about all over the internet on messageboards, through emails, and comments. I suddenly thought why shouldn’t I just consolidate all these into one blogsite making them much easier to find and read. So here it is.

A few answers for some things folks are bound to ask:

  1. Why is it called Guillotine??? Well… I don’t have a very impressive answer for this. The truth is that I bought the domain for another purpose that may or may not come about sometime in the future, and I really didn’t want to purchase yet another domain for this site. After thinking about it… It’s not such a bad name is it?
  2. Why is the web address: www.girochin.com??? That one is a little easier… Girochin (ギロチン) is the Japanese  word for guillotine. ギロチン literally translates to “head cutter”.

So there you have it. I hope you enjoy reading my articles, and please feel free to leave your comments. Also feel free to point out any items I may not have noticed that I can research for articles. As this site expands I would also request that readers feel free to email me if they notice any broken links, images, or missing videos… I would very much appreciate it.

*Another thing to clear up in advance… I will not write articles based on rumors with no credible source. Leave that for IMDB. If I research a topic and can’t find what I feel is reliable information then I don’t intend to post anything of that nature. I also intend for this site to be PG rated… There is plenty of naughty content on the web already, and I have no desire to add more.

So there it is… I sincerely hope you enjoy reading this blog. Honestly if people can find even one article here that interests them then I feel I’ve done what I set out to do.

Thanks for reading.
