Guillotine

I don’t usually write about figures, but this one seemed too interesting to pass up without commenting a bit. As much as I hated School Days I actually did like the Kotonoha character. Now usually figures and anime related merchandise will glamorize characters, but in this case Kotobukiya has decided to do something a bit different. They have included 2 faces with the figure. The normal shy face you’d expect to see on this character, and the second… The creepy “lost her mind” face with the unfocused eyes and that disturbing grin. I wonder if there is a text on that cellphone. Also please take note of the included book  bag with the suspicious looking bulge… What could be inside?

Interestingly with as much bad press as this anime gets I find it rather amusing that this figure at around $99 seems to have sold out in the pre-order phase at many online US retailers. Just goes to show you… Crazy chicks = Cool. Now where is my Shuffle! utility knife wielding Kaede?
