Okay… I don’t usually care much about what movies are being remade, and usually grab the sides of my head and hum loudly to drown out anyone who starts blabbering about how they shouldn’t do it, or how bad it will be.

This though… Seems that Kerry Gordy is going to remake his father’s film. While I don’t necessarily hate the idea I really can’t see anything that can be improved over the total awesomeness of the original. So far the only real announcement is that Sam Jackson has been cast to play the role of Sho ‘Nuff… [insert shocked silence here] Really??? What type of film is being made here? I love Sam Jackson, but to paraphrase Danny Glover “Isn’t he getting too old for this $#!t?” Granted he does the voices for Afro Samurai (and does them well), and last I looked he’s in pretty good shape, but he’s not a 20 something year old kung fu gang leader. Oh well… I won’t pass judgment… Hell… Michael Keaton pulled off a surprisingly convincing Batman so who knows.

Also in case anyone hasn’t heard the news yet Julius Carry who originally played the role of Sho ‘Nuff passed away on August 20th of this year at the age of 56.
